Some things I have noted when working with the 1.23 release.

- Using Lua for rendering a sequence seems to cause octane to crash when it is done. the gui still works but the render view does not update, and at the end it crashes. I did not experience that in 1.22.
- Confirmed that scrubbing the timeline will crash octane. (could that be related to the topic above?)
- Reading alembic files created with maya 2014's own alembic writer fails, if you have "write uv's" on. If it is off it loads fine.

Question:
Is there a chance that while we wait for the real motionblur development to be complete, could sneak a substep version into the stand alone, before the 2.0 release?
If you have an alembic file with a ball flying from right to left over a few frames. And you render that with substep of 10 with 1000 samples. So that it would start on frame 1, render 100 samples, then go to frame 1.1 and render 100 samples, and so on.. until it reaches the last samples and saves the frame.
As far as I understand, some of the 3D software plugins already has that, and with alembic now in the standalone, maybe it is not a huge task? :D Or is that already possible with lua? I have not seen any way update the timeline during the render process.

Cheers!

Most of these issues are solved in version 1.24.

We can have a look at the sub-frame motion blur for 1.5 but we can't say yet if it will be added.
