Hi again!
Octane Neewbie wrighting so bare with me ok? :)

I have two issues right now:
#1. The "default light". Is there a way to get rid of it so I can have a non lit scene? When I add an Octane light of any kind that "default light" is kind of.. well... in the way so to speak. My solution at this time is to add an environment light and turn that down to zero but I figure there must be a better way.

#2. It seems that the compositing tag is not taken into consideration by Octane. I have tried to load some different old project scenes with the "infinite floor" trick but the infinity is gone and the ground plane, usually a circular one, shows up in Octane.
Any ideas how to achieve that infinity effect?

yes,
1-better way is to add Texture Environment and set power to ZERO ;)
2-compositing tag is not our tag ;) Also hasn't a inifinite floor
you can add a disc which is big enough. Also you can check matte option on diffuse material type.
You can check objecttag in version 1.07 and newer. Has possible compositing options for octane. I'll release a new test version tonight also

Awesome! Thank's for the info!
Regarding the "matte" option, I will loose my contact shadow when I check that.
