Python error

I want to test the program and see its results but keep getting an error when i bring up Octane. Anybody tell me what's is causing this

Hi - Sorry for the delay in responding to your msg.

I had this issue reported once before with the demo version, and it was due to the installer not correctly overwriting an existing file (perhaps you had installed a very old copy of the demo version some time back?).

If you delete C:\Program Files\Smith Micro\Poser Pro 2012\Runtime\Python\addons\OctaneRender for Poser\OctaneDefaults.py and reinstall the plugin it should work correctly.

no get the same error i deleted the folder reinstalled it and still comes up with the same error just kind of sits there says its converting but never goes any farther, would Posers service release 3.2 cause this error, and demo i just recently got it's one on the downloads page. unless there's a newer version i didnt see on there do i need to put the same version and poser 32 bit for poser 32. my system is win 8 64. at first it will say there's no render targets in the image and creating new ones which is when the error comes up.

Yes - Poser 2012 SR3.2 does in fact cause the error you are getting. This is fixed in the latest commercial version - and I will need to update the demo version in the next few weeks. In the meantime you will need to uninstall SR3.2 - if you want try the demo. Sorry.

Not yet. We are "between major releases" at the moment, which means the main Poser plugin codebase is built on the current test version of Octane (1.29) - and there is not a demo version of that. So I'm waiting for there to be a stable version of both the demo version of the Octane plugin API and the plugin to re-release the demo. Sorry for the delay.

The demo version has now been updated and should work with PP2012 SR3.2.
