Hi there,

I'm new to Octane and i seem to be having problems rendering in the viewport. No matter the time or scene this blotches always appear. And they appear regarless i choose directlighting or pathtracing.

I've installed latest CUDA on my GTX275.

Regards!

you're probably loading a model modeled in millimeters or centimers as meters into octane, making it kilometers large.
this gives incorrect shading.

make sure you use the correct import scaling in the OBJ import preferences panel in octane.

Probably :) Thanks Radiance! I'll try that... at home.

Before i forget, and in the case future users could stumble upon this thread, what Radiance told me did the trick. Just changed the units setting in obj import settings of Octane according to the settings of the exported obj.

Thanks again!
