Hello,
Just in case other users have this problem or if it needs to be known as a potential bug.
I'm currently remotely controlling a computer over my works network using RDC and Octane 0.7 Alpha which works brilliantly.
However i've just downloaded and installed the latest demo beta version as well as Nvidia drivers, cuda 3.0 etc etc..
Each time octane tried to start it resulted in it being unable to find a cuda device where 0.7 alpha still worked fine which is why i installed all the latest drivers and tested again after each update. It wasnt until i logged into the machine locally and loaded the program it started up fine.
Quick Machine Specs:
i7
12GB RAM
9600GT (to be upgraded thankfully!)
(usually controlled over LAN/Internet)
Remote Desktop Connection

I've been using "logmein" to do something similar and have not had any problems so far. I wouldn't recommend it for setting up a scene to work on, where materials and whatnot have not been figured out, but for just watching the render process and simple stuff it works well. Main issue is just the colors look bad.
