Some of these options are currently being tested in the 1.22 octane standalone release candidate.

It has a new object layer node that gives options for camera visibility and shadow visibility.
The Camera visibility option hides the object from the camera, but it's still visible in reflections etc.
The Shadow visibility makes the object not cast shadows.
After some time the plugins should implement these options too.
