I am trying to create a really clean light effect like in the following post:

The example scene file is long gone, but I've recreated the effect to a degree. Problem is that I am getting risidual particles and can't figure out how to get the nice clean black background seen in that image.

Here is a screenshot of my setup:

Pay no attention to the horrid performance of my videocard, new one is on the way.

And here is the maya scene file if anyone would be kind enough to examine it.

hi, in theory, the turbulance node doesn't work anymore with the scattering medium, and you should play with the scale and the phase value in order to control the fog density ;)
