Hello Everyone

I began to use poser with octane and I have actually some problems with render in Octane. I tried to rendering an scene with my actual Graphic cards (right now both cards are in SLI I have to remove the bridge to allow they work better in octane) but right now I have some memory problems.
I planning to buy the new titans GTX with 6 GB (I planning to get two of them)
I need to do the purchase right now, I have sadly no time to wait for the possibly new 780ti.
Do you think this will solve my memory problems ?
And also do you think is better to have two of them ? exactly in what way could that better.

Thanks in advance. :)

Pablo

Not so sure what You mean by '..I have some memory problems', but if You can't fit Your scenes inside 690 that effectively have only 2GB of vRam, the yes, Titan will save Your day allowing You to render more complex scenes, although the count of textures You can possibly throw inside Your GPU is the same as these are Kepler based cards.

Hi Glimpse

When I tried to render an scene Octane says Low memory, that my problem so you said with Titans I can save the Low memory problem, but if I get two or three of them, what should improve ? I mean not memory because I read that remain the same, but I guess speed of rendering right ?

render speed scales linerly, so with every card You get improvement..two cards will do the same in half of time required for one. on the othe side You'll see no speed improvement over 690, as Titan runs around same - performance wise no diff, but the additional vRam should eliminate low memory problem - You should check statistics while rendering to be sure =)

Thanks you so much for the explanation, I began to understand a bit more . In fact right now, because I have my GTX 690 in SLI mode, I will have to remove the bridge first before I can began to experiment about the real power of the GTX-690. In any case I agree with you that the only way to avoid the low memory problem is with the Titan.
By the way, if I try to put in my motherboard 3 titans instead of two,mod you think my power supply of 1200 could afford it ?
I read each Titan use a maximum of 250 watts (a bit less of a GTX-690) form3 of them I will be using 750 w. Leaving the rest for my CPU and 3 hard drives I have.
Thanks again for you answers :)
