The 3GB 780ti was benchmarked in Octane to be slightly faster than the Titan, and now it's said there will be both a 6GB and 12GB version coming out. Thoughts?

wow that looks awesome :o :o
It is said will be about 700 dollars, with that kind of performance and ram size...looks really nice.

I would be so happy if my 590's could use the 3gb... ....

cheers

Strange that they do not enable the 2nd GPU on 690 for the test...

If there will be such versions i would cry a Bit about my Investment in Four Titans. On the other Hand i was able to do projects this year which were not possible with my old two 580gtx.

I will keep my titans because I only used the full VRAM in one project this year. For the next year or more I will be fully pleased with them.

No need to cry, all the extra money goes to the extra RAM which is I suppose expensive for the GPUs. So 6GB version will cost as much as a TITAN and 12GB more will cost more.

If anything I hope that brings Titan prices down. Whit all the rumored cards possibly coming (GTX 780ti 6GB,12GB and Titan LE and Ultra)I'd be surprised if they didn't. I really need one more video card and most definitely will be getting one after Christmas.

By the way- does anyone know if over-clocked GTX780 will match 780ti in Octane? I could only find reference for the 780 non-clocked.

Most of the professional architectural scene is over 8gb. that is mesh+textures+output image etc..
I really want to use octane for architectural animation, but it will not happen until they have 12gb card, which i think will not going to happen in near future..

Why would a 580 be faster than a 690.
Is'nt a 690 a dual card and a 580 a single?
