I've tried launching both the Game Console and Workstation variations of the ORBX AMI's in the Amazon Marketplace but each time when I RDP into the instance and check the process list there is no GUID in the tcpsvcs to be found. I do happen to see the line where it _should_ be, but it's formatted as follows:
tcpsvcs.exe name=<ip>;port=<port>;wsproxy=<port>;nosleep=1;securelock=0;octane=0;vAWSSERVER=1;;vINVALIDAUTH=1; vfs=ServiceCtl;AWS\Windows\P2PServer64.vdisk
Any ideas what's going on? I'm subscribed to the AMI's and tried launching them as cg1.4xlarge instances. Do I have to launch them as the G2?
Launched Orbx AMI has no GUID?
Yes you must launch a G2 instance to get games and 3D apps working with GPU support. I also would recommend you use the Octane Cloud Workstation Autodesk Edition if you plan to install any software that requires admin rights.
