Hi all,
Just purchased Octane and I'm absolutely loving it so far. I'm trying to render out a pretty complex animation with a locked camera at the moment, but the renderer is skipping frames, rendering the animation all the way through (1900 frames), but only actually rendering one frame every thirty frames. (so I get a total of ~63 rendered frames from different parts of the animation).
My output settings are:
Frame range: manual (0-1900)
Frame step: 1
Octane render settings are:
Full update scene: on
Use all gpus
DirectLighting
My current GPU setup is one Nvidia quadro K5000 and one Tesla K20.
This happens at every resolution and when I switch over to the standard render engine it renders the sequence correctly without skipping frames.
Has this happened to anyone? Am I missing something basic here?
Any help would be great, I have to get this thing going!
Thanks!

I'm using version 1.20. Weird, I turned off "Use all gpu's" in the render settings and checked the Tesla card off and now it isn't skipping frames anymore, and is rendering faster.
no, i mean the version of plugin. What is it? don't trust old version, this skipping is occuring randomly on some systems.doublesurface wrote:I'm using version 1.20. I'm using the latest version of both the stand alone and the plugin for C4D and it's happening all the time now and I don't know what to do. It's a simple scene and setup.

if you don't have animated things and use Resend only updated, will not rerender next frames. because it's a state engine.CCIDgfx wrote:I'm using the latest version of both the stand alone and the plugin for C4D and it's happening all the time now and I don't know what to do. If you put a scene, i'll help to you. Also there is lot of sample scenes in samples package. Have you checked for animation setups?CCIDgfx wrote:It doesn't seem to matter what I'm rendering. It just keeps skipping frames. I've tried multiple settings combinations.

You can find in release topics. Btw where is problem in your scene? It's rendering fine here. Also why do you use "Send all data"? Best options are default settings for most scenarios.CCIDgfx wrote:Here is the scene I am currently working on
I wasn't aware there were sample scenes for the plugins. Where might I find these?
