a question though ~ how are you going to get the nice motionblur you used to get with FinalRender? the motionblur in octane has been a little suspect so far.

It looks great already, I look forward to see the final result
Hey bro'
We've got through the "hotpixels issue" few days ago.
1. Keep the proper scale of the scene (the real one). If the chopper is 4-5m tall in reality- it should be that tall in the scene.
2. Use PMC instead of Pathtracing.
3. Whitchever kernel you use (PMC, DL) give it a longer go - maxdepth at 3000 at least (mostly 5000 is good enough).
Try it

Looks awesome! How much time did it take to model the helicopter?

Hi everyone,
long time no update here and progress on the Mi-24 has been kinda slow thanks to my job
Thanks to everybody for the great feedback, glad you like it so far! I'll get into more detailed replies in a bit.
Here are a few more renders of the new pilot's cockpit I did. Still not done yet and basic shaders for now but was a lot of fun to see it through Octane.
Time for me to update though, I'm still on version 1.something and I guess my Quadro 4000 is kinda outdated now, at least memory wise.

Hope you like it!
Cheers
Andre

Wow. Please consider entering this in the VR competition! I think it would look incredible in VR. We're here to help with anything you need to get this going.
Thanks again for the positive feedback, glad you guys like it!
@Goldorak: Cool I just looked the competition up, I'll definitely submit my work. I just have to hurry up to get the rest of the cockpit done for the renders and hope it all still fits into the memory. I guess it's time for a Titan Z with 12GB.
Thanks
Andre
