When I used the demo a few weeks ago, there were certain restrictions with it that mean't the plugins (that are coming in R2.2) won't work (partly because you can't save scene settings). Will this change with the release of the plugins?
If not, couldn't you have some watermarks on the renders instead and allow scene saving and loading? Or limit the number of materials that are editable/brought into the scene? I think being unable to test this 3d app->plugin->Octane-workflow could be a deal-breaker for some potential customers. On some forums where I've seen Octane discussed, it's the lack of 3dapp integration which is the main complaint.

yeah, we will make the 2.2 demos capable of being used with the scripts, however we won't allow them to save images...
but they can use the script to export and position camera, and render animations (seeing them), but with no PNG files saved on the drive.
it should be enough for them to decide it it's good enough for they're needs...
