So I made this image with the help of a tutorial by Andrew Price. You can check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54wZ3qQiX2Y.
It's a tutorial done in Blender and rendered in cycles but a lot of things he says can be applied in any modeling and rendering software really.

I did this one with 3ds Max. The daylight shot is done in Path Tracing and the night one is in PMC. The close up on the cup of coffee is in PMC as well.

I'd love to know what anyone thinks about it whether positive or negative :p.

If anyone has any questions about specs or more details I'd be happy to answer.
