Hi all -
I got very excited about using octane with the Rhino Plugin on my imac running windows 7 under bootcamp...
I can't run the program however as I receive the following error, which from reading is something to do with cuda.
Have I purchased this software and am not able to run it on an imac?
I can install rhino under mac os if need be, but would prefer to run in windows environment as I'm using grasshopper.
I have the following graphics card
AMD Radeon HD 6970M
AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048 MB CUDA

hi,
sorry to say, but this card is not nvidia, doesn't have cuda & thus You're not able to Run Octane render. I'm not a mack user, so others will likelly guve You better answer on what card to choose for mac, but for sure it should be Nviadia =)
here's crop from FAQ page
''I'd like to use Octane Render, but I don't have a Nvidia video card. Are OpenCL compatible cards (AMD and Intel GPUs) supported?
No, OpenCL is currently not as mature as CUDA. As OpenCL matures, it is planned to be supported which will allow GPUs from AMD and Intel to be used with Octane Render. Currently, Octane Render requires a CUDA enabled Nvidia video card to be installed.''
