I just installed an old ATI card so can work while rendering.

It works fine in the standalone version, I can work and Octane renders on my GTX680.

But in 3ds max, noting happens when I open the Octane view :-/ is seems that the GTX680 card don't recive any information.

In settings>cuda devices>is only the GTX680 card selected - and the ATI is not selected (not even on the list).

What do I do wrong?

Thanks

Ah found the log

################################################################################
Started logging on 17.09.13 10:56:08
################################################################################

OctaneRender version 1.20 (1200002)

Mesh Parameter Error:
Input mesh has no polygons/triangles.

I had to uninstall the card course I have to get some work done - so I can't try again right now, and I'm not sure if the above error relates to the problem.

If i recall correctly CUDA cannot work if the display card is not an Nvidia card.

But it works in the standalone version of octane?

My render card is a nvidia card?

Contact:

are you sure you have something to render in your scene ?

"Mesh Parameter Error:
Input mesh has no polygons/triangles." seems clear

When I tested the card I tried to load a scene. I also tried to reset and insert a new object. Same result :-(

But as i wrote, I'm not sure that the error log is from the test. I'll have to reinstall the card and try again, when I've done with work.

Hi

I've just test again.

If I start 3ds with my monitor connected to my nvidia card - octane renders fine in the standalone version and in 3ds max.

If I start 3ds with my monitor connected to my ATI card - octane renders fine in the standalone versio, but in 3ds max nothing happens. The octane output window opens, but it's empty.

It seems like the plugin for 3ds uses the active card, not the one selected in Cuda Divices.

I have added the error log.

Can this be fixed?

Thanks
