Were would I find the equivalent of the FOV in the standalone for the plugin?

the octane fov is calculated from the (daz)camera aspect ratio and the focal length; so the octane viewport image always matches the daz viewport. if you change the field of view there, usually by changing the focal length, you will get a matching result in octane.
oh, and by the way, as long as you want to render with octane, you should leave the daz render settings alone; since studio and octane calculate their respective fov for different axes (daz vertical and octane horizontal) the plugin needs to control the render size (width and height, respective ar) in order to make a correct fov calculation for octane...
