Hi all,
I'm pleased to announce that we will be present at siggraph 2010.
We will be giving information and demonstrations of Octane Render running on several different machines, including the new GPU-X / GPU Xpander for Octane Render.
We will be present at booth no 1126 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, not far from the Nvidia stand.
Attached is the floorplan indicating our booth location.
Yours,
Radiance

Great! I'm pretty sure a booth would be $$ though so I hope it generates a lot of interest and some more sales.
I think when Blender went a couple of years ago they had some giant posters made of Elephants Deam to hang.
Perhaps you could do the same with some Octane renders

yeah, we've got several ideas, but the key here is demonstrating the interactive editingpixelrush wrote:Great! I'm pretty sure a booth would be $$ though so I hope it generates a lot of interest and some more sales.

I think you'll find business image is important in the US.
I know companies spend a lot on making their booth attractive.
Perhaps you could contact Ton for his opinion and experience and perhaps arrange some mutual support

Good luck, althou I'm almost certain you won't be needing it, your product speaks highly of your team just by itself.
Just an idea, you should show it in an architecture convention, I'm certain we are a great target group, specially small firms were they need something quick with quality and have near none knowledge of 3d enviroments, octane is totally user friendly, at least the mates I've shown octane working are really impressed, and I'm sure at least a couple of them will get a license.

The Blender booth last year had big poster/banners showing Big Buck Bunny/Collada, the initial project Durian/Sintel image, the image from the cover of the book "Mastering Blender", and another one from a user's short that I can't remember. They had a few workstations running an Animux OS (I really wish they'd continue work on that) and some other stuff going on. They also had a 10x20 foot booth by the looks of it. Minimal, yet effective booth layout. I haven't heard if they'll be there again this year, but I hope so. Hopefully showing off Sintel. I am sure more information will come as we get closer to the date about everything that will be going on. There is still a little over 2 months before Siggraph. Should be interesting with all the L.A./Hollywood crowd to see how much interest there is in Octane.

Hey all, first time poster, sort time Octane user, making the transition from mental ray to Octane and am very excited with what I've seen and see a bright future with this technology.
Although probably way too late but maybe fun to have the next competition to design the Refractive show booth.
I don't know... just a thought...
