I was trying the sample hallway scene in the demo and when I click on the rendertarget PMC, I get a 1 gpu failed in orange text under the image window. I'm running a Gtx 295 with the latest nvidia drivers.
Does octane have an issue with dual gpu cards? Both gpu's show up in preferences (compute model 1.3).
Rendertarget PT and DL seem to work but my OS becomes increasingly sluggish using those two. What are the differences between PMC, PT and DL, I can't seem to find them in the manual.
Hardware specs:
Dual Xeon E5-2670
64gb ram
Asus z9pe-dw8 mobo
Gtx 295
Thanks for the input

Hi, cards with Compute Capability < 2.0 are not full supported.
The GTX 295 is a good card but to old, I sold my GTX 260 and bought GTX 500 series for Octane.
The lagging during rendering with Octane is regular, Octane use 99% of your video card and nothing left for your system.
Most user use two cards, one for display and one, or more, for Octane.

Cheers, mib.

Hi Migonacci,
Check this section of the standalone manual:

Also, if you want specifics on what the limitations of various compute capabilities are in octane the FAQ was recently updated with this info under hardware requirements:

Thanks
Chris.
