I'm sure this has to be solved by now...

How do you use a non-zero rayepsilon WITHOUT adding black lines to the eyes and face? Even 0.00001 adds black lines.

I want something like 0.0003 so that the shadow on the face is a bit fuzzy rather than straight-lined.

the value may be as low as 0.0000001 - it's only the daz slider input field that doesn't show more than 4 digits past the dot (but it still takes any digits after those).

the default value is 0.000005 - it should fit most purposes for low and mid range distances...

ps: regarding the shadows... this is a bit tricky; i'd say a better strategy to get rid of discontinuities/artifacts, mostly visible when using the sun environment, is to apply a smoothing modifier or maybe push the subdivision level, plus (maybe) increase the sun size to get less harsh shadows in general.

rayepsilon is a parameter that should fit the scene scale for ideal results...
