Hello,

I am a Poser artist and I am about to make the jump into Octane. Right now I have a Radeon card, so of course I need to switch to a Nvidia card.

Currently I am looking at the GTX 770 2GB card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814130921

Is this a decent card to use with Octane, and if not is there a better one in the same price range? I want to make sure I get the biggest bang for my buck here as I still have to pick up Octane after I get the card.

And no a Titan is not in my budget. :P

No bad but keep in mind sometimes more vram is better than a faster gpu. If you often work with complex scenes and large textures think a bit smaller gpu with more vram. Anyway there is a benchmark topic in the forum with a nice comparsion table.

Yeah I looked at that, and really I wasn't sure what I was looking at, or what I am supposed to be comparing number wise.

A 2GB card will handle most Poser scenes - but personally, if I was getting a new card for Poser, I'd go with 3GB just to give yourself some contingency.

That card will give incredible rendering performance. If at all possible, use your onboard graphics as the Windows display adapter, and keep you existing card for that purpose.
