Hi there

Here's my latest render. Would love to hear from you guys how to take it to the next level. My goal ultimately is make it look photorealistic as possible.

Still can't get those pesky fireflies under control, and using the remover from octane as you can see kind of softens the image even when I rendered larged and reduced the image. (I also sharpened it a little already in PS already). I probably need to get a good noise remover program. Any suggestions?

Was PMC used on this render and if so did you test different settings to work on this scene. Also here I list a few noise filter tools to play with.

I just used diffuse as I tried PMC and it was just too long for the rendering. Anyway, thanks for the suggested programs will definitely take a look at it.

I have the same noise problem at the moment with a tricky floorplan and only light from small window.
I added some invisible large emitters like a photographer would do plus I render out at 30-50% higher resolution. Like render at 2500px and resize to 1980px. Then de-noise slightly.
Also using specular levels less then "1" could resolve in less fireflies.

The second render looks better, it seems to have reduced noise. One thing that might be affecting the noise if that you have light meshes behind glass. A better recommended way I would try is emitting light from the bulbs. Of course this is the wrong way lights are emitted, but in rendering thems it might be faster if their are no obscuring material like glass.

Thanks a lot for the advise! Will try all your recommendations. One thing that I discovered was that it seems that the culprits that's causing the fireflies is the glass enclosure of the shower on the right and my wall sconce. I lowered the specular value of the glass a little and it helped (as suggested by mbetke) Though didn't completely removed it but definitely easier to remove in post processing. For the wall sconce, Just had to do a lot of massaging in PS. Your suggestion Matty might be the ticket to resolve it so I'll try that.
