Bit behind the curve but bloody hell Octane is so flippin' fast. And the cards run about 10 degrees C cooler than GTX 580's. Not so scared about burning down my office during night renders. Love this renderer.

yep, titan,780 or 590 has great performance. But titan/780 has lot of advantage. Enjoy it :)

Have to say to anyone umming and erring about whether to upgrade or not. It is well worth it, don't know re 760 (It's a company purchase so was able to justify the extra for Titans) but the performance gains are quite staggering. I think if you put 4 of 'em in a rig you would basically be talking realtime with the Direct Lighting kernel. With 2 in and a very complex scene I get a clear image in the viewer in about 2-3 secs. A quantum leap from CPU times and no mistake.

We have three titans and you are right, with not too complex scenes direct lighting is very nearly realtime.
Rendering a simple animation to picture viewer is less than one second per frame at 720p resolution.
To be fair, this is at default settings, so specular 5, glossy 2, maxsamples 128 etc.
