Can't get blackbody light working on geometry

I tried looking elsewhere in these forums, at the manual, and online for tutorials, but I can't seem to find any example of someone doing the usual workflow for assigning a diffuse material with blackbody emission to geometry in Octane for Maya. I'm using the latest 1.20 version with Maya 2014.

I have a diffuse material with blackbody emission node in the emission slot, assigned to several pieces of geometry in the scene. Some are flat planes but I didn't think that would matter (it all works perfectly in standalone). If I use a Texture emission node instead of blackbody I instantly get light, but I wanted to use the color temp controls in the blackbody node...

Any reason why it wouldn't work at all? I can't think of any reason other than a scale problem, but even with a brand new scene set 1:1 with stuff sized accordingly, it doesn't work at any Power setting...Texture Emission again worked instantly without issue.

Thanks ahead of time!

Ah scratch that. For some reason the "distribution" attribute is defaulted to 0 when I should've set it to 1. Nevermind and carry on.
