Well I tend the do my artwork it crazy resolutions 3450 x 2276 Is the base for the picture

My setup is three gtx 660 ti 3meg cards (But I only have two running at one time so I can continue using my system e.g. play games or watch a video in the background)

over all it took 10hrs:47 mins to render

Octane render says this for ram 1229/3072m so i take it 1229 ram?

crows Done separately, in a separate pass

It's possible that Tony has already posted enough hints given his partial explanation that we could knock up something. I'm thinking of Kayze's skin shader RGB settings combined with the tips Tony has already provided.

Interesting thread, Surely gonna try that aproach. I have added a nice feature to the SSS skins I have made already, which I thingk adds quite a cool effect. I got the Idea from someone at Daz side and It was fairly simple!.. let me know what you think.
