nice. This option decrease gpu usage and render performance. You can try different option as "low, medium or high".dinf wrote:With "Use pri." activated all smooth and so far no "devices dev:0" info, without all windows moving in steps.aoktar wrote:can you test to drag some windows while rendering? can it be smoothly moved?

Hi Aoktar,
Since the standalone has background images and r14 has the camera calibrator, what would you think about implementing a combination of those two? Is it even possible? I think it would make many users very happy...
I have been trying to figure out a way to use either one but have not found a way yet.

I would certainly appreciate a 'BG image' solution for lining up/matching lighting to a background plate during tests. Am I correct in thinking the only way to do something like this is with a spherical HDR?
Also I know it has been asked many times but a compositing tag would be fantastic.
Sorry for the ignorance but is there a public roadmap to stop me requesting things that are already being worked on?

Live viewer can show background and foreground images, but it's not finished completely. I'll finish this after node editor became useable.mattfrodsham wrote:I would certainly appreciate a 'BG image' solution for lining up/matching lighting to a background plate during tests. Hi,
I have tried to animate a building exploding with fracture in c4d and it works great in just c4d but not in octane, I have used an octane object tag and assigned a number on the fracture (I also tried it on everything else as I'm a noob) also update geometry is checked.
Is it possible?
As I said I'm just learning so any pointers appreciated.
I can use hot4d in same way in octane and animate an ocean so I was surprised I couldn't get it to work.
Thanks,
Craig.
Ps if anyone is interested I'm working from this great tutorial I found.

i think that you mean realtime update feature is not working on fractured objects. I must check this. Propably plugin don't understand there is a change on this objects. A little trick to put a animated null object inside this group.Elprezzy wrote:Hi,
