Nice Chopper. Is that similar to the shader I posted? To my eye, the SSS looks not far off being right, but the skin tone looks a little low on green. Is it possible to increase the green in the glossy shader diffuse pin, or maybe even add some green to the scatter color.

Awesome thread. Haven't had time to get into this type of rendering yet, hoping to soon.

Curious to see what your latest settings look like, is there something that works well in all lighting conditions?

One of the challenges with this is that we all have our own lighting setups, so one person is going to get a setup which suits their typical lighting. From the renders being posted, the SSS part of the shader looks right, but maybe the glossy is a little too strong and oily.

OK I Have updated my Dropbox, to make it a bit easier to know what to do and what to take. I have subdivided the SSS materials Ive been working on into three sections. each with a picture to roughly show what effect you will get. and a Instruction file.

Hope this clears things up.

Enjoy. :)
