Hi

Does anyone know if it's possible to create an infinite plane like the one in VRay?

Thanks :-)

I don't use Vray, but Octane does not have this feature.

However, there are some things you can do.

1. Try making a plane that has a gradual slope up behind the camera. A lot of the time, this will look like an infinite plane.

2. Make a plane to rest your object on and use a diffuse material and set it to "matte" in the material settings. This will make it a shadow catcher, make sure the plane is large enough to catch the entire shadow.. Then simply photoshop in a solid color below it.
