Hi,

Has someone any idea how to make an animating spotlight :?:
The question is not how to make an animation,
but is it possible by making a volumetric light with a volume and assigned material like in this example :?:
By animating it you can make a animating spotlight like a lighthouse or a flashlight.

To show what I mean: below is a link to an example of how it is done in Artlantis (pardon my French  )

Hi Rappet,

This should be do-able in octane. Use a narrow beam IES light and then key the orientation to get it to move (of course use a 'fog volume' as well).

Thanks
Chris.
