Yes, it's a new card. Everything was fine till I installed Standalone 1.2. Have not tried old card, or underclocking new card. Why all of a sudden? Makes no sense. If I put in the old card, it might exceed texture limit. Then what? Why am I still getting the low card memory error? That was supposed to be fixed in 1.2 plug I thought?
If the view port freezes, I can't select anything with the mouse. I am monitoring from the card, so can't do anything but restart when it freezes.

When the Viewport freezes - that's an indication of a hardware issue. If it was a software issue, you would be able to shutdown Poser with the Task Manager. I cannot see the installation of Octane Standalone having any impact - I suspect that was just coincidence. I will double-check with Otoy though.
If it's a hardware problem, The VRAM on the new card could be faulty, or the card is running at a clock speed which is too fast.
My recommendation would be 1) Install GPU-Z and see if that gives an indication of a problem, 2) Using the utilities that came with the new card to drop all the clock speeds 3) If neither 1 or 2) help, try the old card - if it works then you know if a hardware fault with the new card.
Also, are you running any other apps in the background (like Octane Standalone, games, 3d modelling app etc)?

What actual graphics card do you have pls? Make, model, VRAM?
Can also try uninstalling OctaneRender Standalone 1.20?

I only have one card in. The GTX 690. Is it because I am using the card connected to my monitor that I can't get to the task manager when Octane freezes? I'll try the built in VGA from the computer. I tried underclocking the card, no effect. I will try the old card, the GTX 650Ti and see if I can still render. I'll get back to you.

You can set your on-board card as the Windows display adapter and still use the GTX 690 for rendering. Setting the on-board card as the display adapter may require a BIOS change (it did for my Gigabyte motherboard).
We still don't know what make/model card you have, and how much memory is has.....

OK, put back the GTX 650 Ti card. Rendered the same scene that is crashing with the GTX 690 card. Rendered ok, but really slow. I know it's a slower card, but I used to get 200sample in about 60sec, using the old card, now the old card is only getting about 75sample after 60sec. What's up with that?
Also, I have set my computer performance to best performance , instead of letting windows decide. Is that causeing something important to not activate upon start-up?
It's a brand new Out Of Box Card. How could it be bad? Working fine with other scenes. I bought this card to handle the larger scenes.
Going to put 69- back in and revert back to 1.12 standalone, and last plugin before the 1.2 release a few days ago.

OK, reverting back did not work. How can the 650 Ti render the scene but the 690 freezes up? How can it be a bad card right out of the box? Render other stuff fine. Any ideas?
