Hi,
I tried to render something, using two PCs with different GPUs. One has GTX 285 and another one has K20X. Both use 3DS Max 2013 + OctaneRender Plug-in 1.10.

However, after doing the rendering, I notice the rendering result is quite different. The reflection appears in the results of GTX 285, but it does not appear in the results of K20X !

I use Path Tracing for the both. The materials are from Octane LiveDB, which are "Metal Panels - Scratched" and "Nickel Aged_Bronze".

Many thanks.

Do you use any textures on this part?
What does your texture statistic show? How many textures do you use?

Hi Karba,

The overall texture statistics of the scene is :
GTX 285 : Tex : rgb[4/64], rgb64 [0/64], grey [9/32], grey16[0/4]
K20x : Tex : rgb[4/144],rgb64 [0/64], grey [9/68], grey16[0/10]

As for the one in the screenshot, there are 4 textures for the joint/bone and two textures for the shielding are used.

Many thanks..

Do you have this GPUs on single computer, or it is two different computers? If it is two different computers, does they have access to textures files?

Hi Karba,
Update : strangely, now sometimes K20Xm can produce correct results, but sometimes it cannot do so.

One thing I forgot to mention is that, for the workstation with K20Xm, it actually has three pieces of K20Xm. (But for the PC with GTX 285, it only has one GTX 285).

Hi Karba,
To sum up, there are two computers.
Computer 1 : One piece of GTX 285, Windows 7
Computer 2 : Three pieces of K20Xm, Windows Server 2013
Renderer for both PCs : 3DS Max 2013 + OctaneRender plug-in 1.10

Yes, both of them have access to the textures.

For computer 2, now strangely, like my post above, sometimes it can render correctly sometimes it cannot.

Many thanks.
