General theme is great becouse :
You can do whatever You want ( biggest plus )
its not good becouse:
Someone can use already made material / animation ( biggest minus )
One theme is great becouse:

yes that's a good idea methinksmlody47 wrote: One animation - two versions
One straight from octane , no post-production
Second with post ( just for those who want ) - to show how cool it would look like with post.
Or its a dumb idea??

I dont think it should be restrictive in general animation in anyway.
Restrictions serves for technical documentation of a software.
Octane does not need technical documentations to proff its working, its past that periode.
Lets not make it too complicated.
Make it possible for people to intergrate anything they like, as long as the contents has octane material in it. Only in this situation will you get the optimal expression which will serve the community, the render and the quality.

Ok.
I agree with that.
But lets see what others say.

I know my opinion is not relevant nor significant, but is the only one I have
I think the fairest thing would be to distinguish two categories (either animated or static).
The first one would allow anything, post processing, camera mapping, anything. This would give freedom to people who have mastery in those facets and material to do so.
In another not be allowed material not generated by octane, which would involve people who either do not have the equipment / software needed or that could considered not to participate if having to do so under the same category.
I understand that the objetive is achieving the highest quality material but I think that both categories could get great works, but the problem is that if it is not bounded in some way and is given freely, some people will not participate or what worse, people who will feel cheated.
