Hello all, I'm been road testing Octane Render (DEMO)so far so good.
For sure i will purchase apps to maximise by GPU card.
I am using new iMac 2013 27"GTX680mx 2G and 16G Memory.
Using latest GPU driver. For sure i only have i card.

My question is how come my GPU memory doesn't add up?
Please see attached image. Thanks in advance

Hi. Just close all your opened 3d application and you'll see result. Dont forget to restart your scene.

Hi Pinoy,

Yup, something else is using VRAM.

Here are some more specific details:
Used is the amount of VRAM octane is currently using.
Available is the amount avaliable to Octane (maximum size you scene can be).
The Total is the amount on the Graphic card.

If the available is considerably less than the total then you know some other application is consuming VRAM. This can be one of many things like 3d application, the OS, web browsers etc.
(Or even another octane window!)

Thanks
Chris.

Hello again, i'm thinking of upgrading my window graphic card.
Window platform:
Dell studio XPS 9000
Core i7 950 3.03 GHZ 8mb 64bit
12gig.
Nvidia GTX240 1024mb
Power supply 475 watts

Now I am planning to upgrade to GTX780 3GB OR GTX TITAN 6GB
which are all using 600watt power supply.
Do i really need to upgrade my box?
What are my other options?

You should get away with upgrading your power supply for both those cards (I recommend the Titan personally)
Windows 8 Pro | i7 3770 OC | 32 GB Ram | Single Titan (plus Black Edition on Order) | Octane Lightwave |
