i've just had a look at those videos and octane is more than 2x as fast on a similar scene...
and that on a slower GTX260 instead of a GTX285.

Yes i agree on that one. Octane seems to be 2x faster after what i seen comparing the videos from Arion and Octane.

After my knowledge Vray RT Gpu version isent out yet. I have the cpu version of Vray RT, for me it seems a bit slow. I got a dual quad Xeon setup.
