Hi everyone,

we are very proud to announce yet another integrated plug-in that is being developed for Autodesk Inventor by face_off. Inventor users will soon be able to experience the incredible speed and quality of OctaneRender inside their viewport, allowing an instantaneous photoreal preview of the scene while editing cameras, lights, materials and objects in the scene.

As the OctaneRender for Inventor integrated plug-in is nearing the beta phase and will be released in a few weeks as a beta product, we would like to set up a small group of 5 experienced Inventor users to help us test the new plugin product before we release it.

To participate in the closed beta, you need a copy of Inventor and have extensive experience with using the software. You will also need to be prepared to invest a reasonable amount of time into testing the plug-in and reporting issues and bugs to the plug-in developer (face_off). Good written English communication skills are required and participants will have to sign a non-disclosure agreement prior to becoming part of the beta group.

If you think you have what it takes and would like to participate, please reply to this thread and introduce yourself by showing some screenhots.

We will pick the participants once we have enough applicants. In return for your help in testing the new product, you will receive a free copy/license of the plug-in, which you can keep when the beta testing period is over.

Cheers,

the OctaneRender team

I've only just been pointed to this so I hope its not too late.

I've used Inventor since 2004, I'm an Inventor 2013 Certified Professional and write technical articles/tips & tricks/tutorials on my blog http://www.designandmotion.net.

I work for a company called smigroup (http://www.smigroup.co) managing the design office where we design super yacht interiors. So I'd love to give this a thrash if I've not missed the boat.. no pun intended :D

Once the beta is completed with your blessing I would also be happy to write a blog post reviewing the features of your tool.

Hi there,

I am very exited about this plugin. As a long time Octane user as well as an autodesk trainer I realy would like to test this baby. Was not able to test the Autodesk-plugin because I currently use Inventor way more often and think an Invenotor plugin makes much more sense than an Autocad plugin.

Well, please let me take part in the testing of this plugin in production.

Best Regards

Sven

Hello,

This is definitely something Inventor has been needing. Currently, I do all of my modelling in Inventor, and then export out to 3ds Max or Modo for final rendering. This plugin will be a huge time saver, and add some much needed functionality to a great CAD program.

I have been an Autodesk Inventor user for about 8 years, and I am an Autodesk Inventor Certified Professional (2009). I use Inventor daily, designing equipment at an offshore oil and gas company. I also run a small business called Thunderhead Design, for which I also have a licenced copy of Autodesk Product Design Suite that includes Inventor and 3ds Max. For a sample of the work I do, visit www.thunderhead3d.com

I would really enjoy getting into this beta, and I think I could provide a lot of positive feedback.

Thank you for the opportunity,
Thomas

Love to try out this Beta. I have been using Inventor for 5 years and I currently run VisualCreations.com.au specifically for photo-realistic renders in Engineering.
This would make my life alot easier if the quality is AAA.
