I couldn't reproduce this problem here. Could you give us step-by-step instructions or a test scene or a video that shows this problem?

Thanks,
Marcus

this crash is already present in (at least) 1.13 btw; apparently happens with any of the float pins of the color correction node, either if the material is rendering already, or if it starts rendering, in mat preview mode, or if used on a geometry; even if set up with the minimal amount of nodes (macro < material < cc < float input)...
The obvious is that which is never seen until someone expresses it simply

As you can see in the images attached, it is not the HDRI at fault. I have also tested this with other HDRI images and have the same problem. I didnt have this problem before.
Some nodes have a wrong minimum and maximum setting after loading from file. We will fix this in the next release. In the meantime delete the node in the rotation input in the environment and create a new one (you can do this with the dropdown above the sliders), and the environment map will be fine.

Hi Roeland

I have problems by starting rendering with versions 1.17 and 1.18.
If I tried select the mesh node, nothing happens and sometimes my computer freeze and I must restart the machine.

Pleeeaaaassseeee..... A really Backgroung for V 1.20... All is perfect in octane.. but background gestion is very sad!!!! One shot Hdri and one shot Sun Sky is not acceptable for a engine as octane...pleaaaase team!!!

Just posibilities to insert a background, size, gamma, position and DOF affect, is possible ?
Vray, Arion, Mental ray etc etc is ok but why not in Octane!! For me it's really the only defect of octane  :D
