First, the Demo works fine in 2014. I assume the later versions also work well?
Second, some plugins don't work offline. What about this one?

BTW, I find Octane gives me the fastest, best renders for the least amount of work, over the 3DS Max native renderers.

current plugin version works under 2014 fine.
It can work offline as long as it is activated via internet during first run.
