If I select the new 'top' camera view preset, plan south is at at the top of the view, i believe world mapping and architectural drawing convention is to have plan north at the top of the view. It is strange to see shadows being cast 180 degrees in the opposite direction.
Is this intentional?

it would be nice that daylight system would work with compass inside max too.

They are the opposite of Autodesks view cube, common to all their three dimensional applications. I would be good if they were in alignment with these apps.
