Hi again,
I'm not sure about this:
When working with VRay f.e. one should disable the c4d-LWF and
set the Profil to sRGB. What should I do for Octane?
When I make a glossy mat with a special RGB Value for color,
that object looks always washed out in rendering.
I cannot get that color-intensity like I wish.
I'm missing something here?
and:
I cannot find any tutorials on working with materials.
I still don't know how to work with all the octane-shaders
"dirt" f.e. Where do I have to load that in? In diffuse or in Roughness?
How does that "shader to texture" feature work?
What do I have to do and which shaders are working?
So the hole material-system is still a mystery to me.
thanks
Mike

Bump. I'm also having the same issues with RBG values rendering differently in C4d Octane with LWF enabled.
Mac OSX 10.12.6 / MBP 15" w Touch Bar, 16GB / Mantiz Venus Thunderbolt 3 enclosure with GX1080 / C4d r19 Octane
the linear workflow is under revision right now, so is better to wait for the next version.
in the meantime i suggest you to read this interesting post from roeland regarding the linear workflow in octane:
