Something I dreamt of. Didn't have glowing veins, but was a lot more mechanically detailed. Still lots of modeling to do but it looks pretty wicked right now!

I'm using 3DS Max to model it, using 3DS Max Hair/Fur then converting to splines and using a spline mesher.

Did you try to mess around with the dirt texture + emissive? Can give some fun results with anything futuristic related :)

Woah good idea! I did try to mess with the dirt texture but I couldn't find the right parameters to see it have a good effect.

Thanks for reminding me, a while ago I rendered a 15-20 second video and looped it to a soundtrack. I haven't worked on it much after the last renders... I don't really know how to expand on this, animation would be near impossible, but I could put it in a really cool environment like in the Terminator :D
