Is it just me or has the Blender community gone very quiet of late? I can't remember the last Blender related post. It is all C4D, Poser etc these days. I'm starting to wonder whether Cycles has taken over.

I'm still here. Just not much to talk about since we don't have an integrated plugin, yet.

We all are waiting with bated breath...
Yesterday I've released the short commercial rendered with Octane (packshot pre-render was here http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=32222 )... I'll publish it... soon.

How much longer do you think it will be? Jimstar appears to be making good progress but it feels like forever.

Cycles certainly hasn't taken me. I still barely know how to use it. Octane is always my go-to renderer. Cycles is good for setting up the lighting before exporting to Octane.

Agree with you here. I spent hours with Cycles trying to get any fine-looking result... but couldn't do nothing better than this or this. :(
Having 15 minutes with Octane I get this...
So it'll be like Christmas for me when this plugin will be released. )

I agree, Cycles isnt very intuitive, but Octane is sooo easy to use.
Really looking forward to this plugin.
