Hi everyone,

I've been testing Octane Render demo for a while, and i'm really safistied with the results. I just need to make little more tests to be pretty sure i'm going to buy this incredible software. The following images shows a comparision that I made with a vray render, featured on ronenbekerman site, called Tomczak House. According with the author of vray images, it took like 17h on vray brute force (night)...that's too much!
I modelled and textured everything in sketchup, and exported to Octane Render Standalone, post production on PS. Despite all this, remember the fact the image is locked to 1000x600 resolution, and don't have acess to octane material library. Images are HDRI, Diffuse (day) AO (night), 54000 samples, filtersize 1, aperture 1, rendertime 4h30 (day) 5h30 (night) on a MBP, mid-2012, (i7 + 650m).

Off topic: Do you guys have special prices for students? What about for render enthusiasts? :D

hi falken,
we don't have special prices for students and there are also no student versions of Octane. everyone (hobbyists, students, professionals) gets it at price indicated on website...
