The only thing really killing it for me is the backgrounds. Although getting better they really take me out of the realism. I'm not good enough at octane to be much help. But the polls that are stuck in the ground scream being fake when they're just slid into the geometry of the ground like that. There should be a break in around it or some small mound of dirt (like really tiny amount of old dirt that's displaced) or just put some grass around them and break up the harsh transition. The rest of the scene I can't really comment on for the background, might be just the ground is a bit too fake looking.
- But anyway, I really love the car models and the character is pretty good too. Keep working at it and it'll be really amazing.

The skin close-up looks quite rough. It doesn't look that alive, is that because you didn't use any SSS for this preview picture?
Great job nonetheless ! Cars are pretty cool

Yes, I didn't use SSS for the face. I tried, but the result looked either like wax or on the opposite was not visiblefor a huge rendering time. So, I used only a combination of glossy and diffuse.
For the poles, I agree that I didn't texture them. There is some grass at the foot of some of them, but as it is put randomly, it is not visible everywhere. The scene is around 1km x 1km. I moved the cars and characters to find interesting perspectives, but I haven't specially taken care of details for each shot, as the images are intended to be edited in comic book style afterward.
