Two issues:
1) The mesh smoothing support breaks, especially when animating. I think this may be resolved by simply allowing the user to specify a waiting period before the plug in forces a refresh of the geometry.
2) The geometry does not always update. This results, for example, in a model moving and their hair staying in one place. I think it this could also be fixed with the above option to force a refresh of geometry after each frame.
I've searched and found one reference to the geometry update issue but it included an issue where animation would break after the fourth frame, but I don't believe the geometry issue has been fixed.
I haven't found any mention of the mesh smoothing at all. This is what is used in all the newer daz genesis figures for clothing etc. It fixes poke through, etc.
Thanks

here is some old info for you:

and here something new:

regarding animation geometry updates:
please report back if you see this behavior also, if any smoothing modifier is set to "interactive" "on" before starting it, or if it also happens, if there aren't any smoothing modifiers at all; regarding to daz it should be ok to start mesh transfer right after change the frame time - there are commands which will force ds to internally update its geometry, and the plugin won't continue until this is done. so most probably you "only" see another effect of the currently broken smoothing handling...
