I am currently running the Daz Studio plugin with Bootcamp on a Macbook Pro. I had an issue and have that posted as well. My question here is are you any closer to getting the plugin to run on the OSX platform? I am hoping so!! Dual booting to only run Daz is a minor annoyance but having to use Windows is a slightly bigger annoyance for this Mac user. Great work and don't think me disgruntled. Oh the C4D for Mac would also be awesome. If I am asking for a lot I might as well ask for too much.

The problem was that in the past the Octane SDK wasn't available for other platforms than Windows. We are pretty close to releasing the SDK for Mac and Linux too. It's only a matter of days. We hope the main issues are solved. After that release the plugin devs will be able to work on a Mac port. Hopefully that won't be too much work for them. It shouldn't at least for the C4D plugin.

Cheers,
Marcus

Have you been able to release the SDK for the Mac platform yet? I am trying to not put together a Windows workstation. The temptation to do so is calling like a siren song on the digital waves.

Yes, two days ago or so. Of course, the plugin devs have to port their projects to Mac OS which can take a while (and you need either a Mac or at least a Hackintosh to do that).

Thanks for the info. I certainly can't imagine how long the development would take but I appreciate it. Would a fund for a Mac or hack help the development team?
