Hi, I wanted to point that suddenly Poser 2012 Pro in my possession crashes with the plugin Octane. Everything worked fine until a few days ago, then suddenly when I start Poser, this is not part of it. Not knowing the cause I reinstalled several times poser. At the end when I deleted the plugin Octane, Poser has rebooted fully functional. If I reinstall the plugin, and Poser crashes again. Could you help me solve this problem? Thank you. I have tried both the version that the version 11U 13U, without solving.
My s.o. is win 7 x64, Poser Pro 2012 build. 9.0.3.23027, I installed the DSOn plugins and Reality 3.0. I have 32 gb of RAM, video card is GTX 660 TI from 3GB of RAM, and finally the temp Poser are on a ramdisk of 8 gb.

Is Poser crashing on startup? Is it giving an error message on any kind?

When start Poser, comes an error on the executable, it is written that, "there was an error Poser Pro.exe" and does not open it. If I delete the folder from the path of the plugin Octane, runtime, python, then start Poser regularly and it works

Two quick questions.....

1) Have you rebooted and tried running Poser with Octane installed?
2) Does Octane Standalone work?

Regarding 1), I've found if I task-swap about 1sec after starting Poser, it crashes, but sometimes remains in the task manager. Killing the PoserPro.exe process frees thing up again.

Yes, I rebooted the computer, but until you do not delete the plugin folder from python, Poser will not start. In standalone Octane opens, but I have not tried to do a render.
When Poser does not start in the task manager no trace remains.
The only difference from this sudden failue was an update to Adobe Air. I have tried to uninstall Adobe Air, and reinstall it, but the problem keeps on giving. Repeat until last week everything worked fine. I thought of a problem with Python, because when I reinstalled Poser I copied my old folder Runtime, maybe something went wrong. I can try to install from scratch and see Poser with a smooth installation if the plugin works.

The following will all change in about 2 days, when I release the next version.....but currently....

When Poser first start it loads Octane. If the octane dll fails to load, Poser to terminate, as you are experiencing (re-iterating - this will all change in a couple of days). There are 2 reasons the octane dll will not load.....1) Cuda drivers are out of date, corrupt, etc, or 2) octane.dat was not found.

For point 1), re-loading the latest 3.14 cuda drivers should fix.

For point 2), make sure the octane.dat from the installer ZIP is in the same folder as the PoserPro.exe that you are running.

Again....this all changes in a few days :-)

And if you are a non-technical person, none of that probably made sense :-)

I just wanted to report that he had solved the problem. The problem was given by the video card drivers. I do not remember having installed, the last beta version of the drivers. Is just uninstall the beta and install the version that, you've suggested and it all worked out. Thank you very much for the timely support
