Hi all, I'm sure this is a daft question, but in what circumstances is it best to use PMC or pathtracing? What are the characteristics of a particular scene, lighting or materials that dictate it would be better to use one over the other?

As far as I know, PMC is preferred when your scene is throwing a lot of fireflies, so you avoid them using this kernel, although it´s slower than PT. Also hard to lit scenes, such as those ones lit by small light emitters will be better solved by using PMC.
