Hi there,

I created some beveled text from Maya 2013 (menu Create - Text - option box).
The geometry is fine in Maya's viewport but Octane renders the mesh incorrectly.

I deleted the History from my scene but still Octane can't render the mesh as expected.
Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug in the Octane plugin for Maya?

Thank you

You haven't given much information about how it's not rendering correctly but I suspect you may need to triangulate the geo in Maya before rendering as Octane doesn't handle Polygons with holes in them very well. You should also check your normals.

This is it. I needed to triangulate the geometry for Octane to render it properly.
Many thanks TBFX, I really appreciate your help.
I know noobs questions can be annoying sometimes ;-)

That´s it. The more you get away from a quad based mesh, the more you will get bad displays in the OBJ file. I´ve found it´s always a good idea to triangulate everything before exporting.
