Currently, when clicking on a material using the material pick option, it only highlights the node on your mesh node. sometimes, my nodes becomes quite hard to manage and I find it hard to move my eye from the mesh node to the material node connected to it. Instead, i think that both the node on your mesh and the material connected to it should become highlighted.
Now, this might cause a problem where it will then switch and render that material. I don't know if it's possible to make it just highlight it, otherwise it might restart people's renders when they didn't mean to.
