DAZStudio.exe caused ACCESS_VIOLATION in module "C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\octane.dll" at 0033:000000000F4BED90, Octane::NullEmission::create()+444752 byte(s)
Here's the error I'm getting. I installed the plugin today and ever since then any scene I save and try to reopen DS crashes every time. I did put in a bug report to DAZ as well.
I'm using the latest DS beta 4.5.2.40. I'm going to have to uninstall it as I need to be able the save and reload scene for an up and come product release.
Thanks

Oops sorry just saw the post at the top about it !
btw, if you have a crash report, please save it and send me a pm with it attached. a copy of the .duf that caused the problem would also be of help. sending it to daz is not necessary (and most probably they won't take a 2nd look if they identify 3rd party software causing the crash).Midnight_stories wrote:DAZStudio.exe caused ACCESS_VIOLATION in module "C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\octane.dll" at 0033:000000000F4BED90, Octane::NullEmission::create()+444752 byte(s)

I found out, that a lot of crashes happen in Scenes i made earlyer with the uberenvironment2 and wanted to render it now in octane. I had to delete all Lights on Daz Studio on my laptop and then i could open the scene without problems on my octane machine and render it. Is this a know problem, or why does the uberenvironment not work? Well, its not problem to adapt the scenes, its just sometimes hard if you work on your laptop and when you want to go for the final render, you spend quite some time until you can finally open the scene...
it's not directly related to uberenvironment but lights in general; adding a daz type light source also creates a special view camera - which i have just totally overseen as i myself don't use any daz lightsbeat578 wrote:I found out, that a lot of crashes happen in Scenes i made earlyer with the uberenvironment2 and wanted to render it now in octane. to avoid that, the upcoming version will clean up that garbage on load (this should allow even failing scenes to be opened again), and on the other hand it will no longer create octane cameras for elements that are actually light sources...
